The Alliance Française Strasbourg Europe (AFSE) is a non-profit association under local law, and is a private institution of higher education. Approved as a training organization (Number 42 67 04515 67), the AFSE has a double mission: teaching the French language and spreading French-speaking cultures.

Our school has been awarded the “Qualité FLE” and “Qualiopi” labels, and all our training programs follow the recommendations of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Our French courses in Strasbourg offer personalized support to the student (free placement test before the first course; free pedagogical tutoring; personalized follow-up…), and are part of a communicative and action-oriented approach.

Located in the city center and 10 minutes by streetcar from the train station (Gallia stop), the Alliance Française Strasbourg Europe is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle or by public transport. Parking spaces in the green zone and the Bateliers parking lot allow you to come by car as well.

Unique in the Grand Est region and in Strasbourg, the Alliance Française Strasbourg Europe is part of the worldwide network of Alliances Françaises present in 133 countries.

The AFSE relies on a team of volunteers who are open to cultural diversity and love the French language.

The Alliance Française is a family that only wants to grow! The AFSE needs volunteers to further its mission to promote the French language and culture.

Do you have a taste for languages and encounters, the desire to share your culture and discover new ones? Join the Alliance Française Strasbourg Europe!

Our members are a real force. They are dynamic volunteers who regularly meet with our students from all over the world. They participate in conversation circles and various cultural activities. They animate and manage the association, and also support its communication and promotion actions.

If you would like to join us, please write to direction@afstrasbourg.eu.

The AFSE team is composed of the Board of Directors, the administrative team and the teaching team.

The association has 80 active members involved in the running and management of the school, as well as in the animation of cultural activities and conversation circles. It is organized around the Board of Directors assisted by its Bureau. The Board of Directors and the General Assembly decide on the general strategy, set the budget and validate the balance sheets.

The operational management of AFSE is delegated to the Director, who relies on a team of collaborators.

The teachers at AFSE are experienced specialists in French as a foreign language, recruited and supervised by a pedagogical manager; they all have a Master’s degree in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) or equivalent.

The AFSE teaching team is well accustomed to the professional public. Each teacher provides feedback in the classroom to help learners progress, taking into account their particular linguistic and socio-cultural needs.

Our teachers are also qualified to take and correct national French tests and exams (DELF and TCF at the Alliance Française). They can thus integrate into their teaching advice on how to pass the exams.

The team of permanent professors is completed by temporary professors.
